I am retired from both the Army (26 years) and a civilian position as CEO of a non-profit corporation (22 years) that provided dispute resolution services. Most of that time was concurrent. I am also a part-time professor in a Bible College extension program where I teach courses in Bible, Christian education and pastoral care. My user name comes from my Army career : "QMC" for Quartermaster Corps and "O5" for Lieutenant Colonel.

When not enjoying times with my wife I'm reading (both religious non-fiction and fiction novels), writing, surfing the Internet and carrying on multiple email conversations with friends and relatives. My wife and I enjoy visiting art galleries (she's an artist), antique stores and museums, walking our two dogs and taking day trips.

I enjoy watching (and rewatching) the Babylon 5 TV series and its spinoff Crusade and the B5 movies. (My avatar is the White Star ship from B5.) I also enjoy various British mystery series and I really like romance movies, especially those taken from Jane Austen novels (I'm an incurable romantic).
